Friday C.A.F.E.
Friday C.A.F.E. (Community and Family Engagement) is a monthly gathering for family engagement professionals in San Diego schools and communities, such as parent liaisons and home-school facilitators. It was inspired by the Creative Mornings model from Brooklyn, aiming to create a peer-to-peer learning and resource-sharing network. Meetings are held the third Friday morning of each month. Equitable Schools Fund
The Equitable Schools Fund by Sister Cities Project is an innovative approach to education funding in San Diego: for the first time, a dedicated pathway to direct donations to K-12 public schools that historically have not had access to private donations to supplement inadequate state funds.
