Health and Community Concerns and Family Engagement are showing Angst, a documentary that explores anxiety; its causes, effects, and what we can do about it – with an emphasis on youth and families.

After the showing there will be a Q&A session with a panel of experts. WHEN:

  • Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary PTA, San Diego Unified Council of PTAs
  • Hedenkamp Elementary PTA, Chula Vista Elementary Council of PTAs
  • Beaumont Elementary PTA, Vista Unified Council of PTAs
  • Lyman Judson Gage Elementary PTA, San Diego Unified Council of PTAs

These units were randomly selected from over 100 PTAs who met the challenge of 125 members by January 31.

  • Avocado Elementary PTA – $800 Grant for Art Expo

The Art Expo is an annual event including a PTA talent show, student art projects, Reflections Program entry exhibits and partnership with businesses in the arts community as vendors and resource tables.

  • El Capitan High School PTSA – $800 Grant for The El Capitan Boutique

The El Capitan Boutique is an on-campus formal wear store offering free clothes and accessories for school dances and other school activities requiring a student to wear formal attire.

  • Morning Creek Elementary PTA – $400 Grant for Multicultural Night  

Multicultural Night engages parents and staff volunteers who host tables or booths for attendees to view arts, crafts and sample foods from a variety of cultures.
